Sean Schemmel is an American voice actor, ADR director, and screenwriter who has worked for Funimation, NYAV Post, 4Kids Entertainment, Central Park Media, and DuArt Film and Video. He has provided voices for a number of English adaptations of Japanese anime, as well as various animated series and video games. His most notable voice role has been the adult version of Goku in the Funimation dub of the Dragon Ball anime franchise, as well as King Kai.
Schemmel has since been the most consistent English voice actor for Goku, the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise; having voiced the adult and older teen variations of Goku in every anime series produced so far (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai and currently Dragon Ball Super), and nearly all Dragon Ball-related video games and animated movies (including the two theatrically-released movies in 2014 and 2015). In addition to his voice acting career, Schemmel was also an ADR Director and Scriptwriter for NYAV Post, where he directed and adapted for English dubs of several Japanese anime series. In the field of narration, he has won two awards for his audiobook recordings.
